Medieval Dungeon

The main theme for this scene came from my interest in medieval and fantasy settings as well as an interest in using warm lighting akin to flames from a torch. The design I settled upon was a simple and classical idea in my mind of what a dungeon scene would be. Another plan I had for the lighting was to create at least one area of contrast between warm and cool lighting. I chose to enact this concept through a couple of areas, the main one being a cool light coming in through a set of open windows at one side of the dungeon to contrast with the warm light coming from some surrounding torches.
The models/props and materials/textures in this scene were all created by me through the programs Maya, Substance Designer, and Substance Painter.
Overall, I reached a point where I was decently satisfied with the end result of this project. At the very least, this proved to be a good learning experience and should help me to make better scenes and materials in the future.

A couple of the materials I made in Substance Designer for use in this project. Particularly pleased with how the grain/texture of the wooden planks turned out.
